David Hess

David Hess

Attorney Dave Hess served 25 years in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, including terms as Majority Leader, Deputy and Assistant Majority Leader, Republican Leader, Deputy Republican Leader and the Chair and Vice Chair of five committees.

He attended Dartmouth College, Yale Law School and the Kennedy School of Government and served four years in the US Air Force.

Hess was a delegate to the 1984 NH Constitutional Convention, and served for three years as an Assistant Attorney General under Warren Rudman and David Souter, prosecuting homicides and other major felonies.

He served for 8 years on the Board of the Land & Community Heritage Investment Program and as a member of the Hooksett Conservation Commission. He has been active in multiple charitable and non-profit organizations in many different capacities. He currently serves on the NH Legislative Ethics Commission and lives in Hooksett.
